About David (brief)

A retired physicist, until recently I was doing research part-time in sonar at the University of Sydney.  I live in Sydney, Australia, but spent eight years working in Canada.  Am married with two sons and two grandchildren.  Was formerly a keen long-distance runner and enjoyed social tennis.  For 16 years I taught physics at the University of Technology, Sydney, becoming a senior lecturer.  I then spent 11 years doing research in the Department of Defence.  Interests include family history and aspects of: philosophy, fundamental science, current affairs and the psychology of happiness and suffering.
